GRAPPLING EXPERIENCE: 8 YEARS

Aidan is a BJJ black belt under Ross Nicholls and one of the co-founders of Melbourne Grappling Academy. He continues to coach and manage operations at London Grapple, the UK gym he launched with his business partners in 2021. With a thriving community, excellent reviews, and a strong training culture, London Grapple remains his day-to-day base.

Born in regional Australia, Aidan grew up playing basketball and Aussie rules before studying architecture and construction management. He went on to work in quantity surveying and project management, applying those skills years later to launch and scale London Grapple.

In 2017, he started BJJ and was quickly hooked. He trained under Craig Jones and Lachlan Giles before relocating to the UK in 2018 with his fiancée Amy. What was meant to be a one-year stay turned into something more permanent after both launched businesses and laid down roots in London.

At MGA, Aidan supports the team remotely with a focus on marketing, strategic planning, and ongoing business development. While he no longer competes, he remains deeply involved both on and off the mats, helping to build gyms, mentor others, and implement efficient operational processes.

Outside the gym, Aidan spends time with Amy, helps out with her education company, and enjoys training, travelling, and getting outdoors.
